Level 3 - Safeguarding Children
This course is based on the core requirements from the Department of Education (DfE) "Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 guidance" and the London Child Protection Procedures.
Please be aware this is not “Designated safeguarding leads” training.
Learning objectives
- recognise abuse and common obstacles
- gain knowledge on sharing information and analysis
- understand multi-agency working
- identify professional blind spots
- understand agency roles and responsibilities
- understand the role of Croydon Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (CSCP)
- know the benefits of effective safeguarding supervision
- understand more about the local needs
- gain knowledge about local safeguarding practice reviews, and how they explore general improvements to practice through changes to the system
Who this course is for
Staff and volunteers who work regularly or intensely with children and young people and their families.
Please note: before attending this course, you should complete ”Safeguarding children: level 1” e-learning and ”Safeguarding children: level 2” e-learning.
Staff from Croydon Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Croydon Health Service (CHS) should speak with their training teams before booking this course.
