CSCP Publishes Local Safeguarding Practicing Review

24 April 2024

Fiona Martin, Detective Superintendent Met Police & Chair of the Safeguarding Children Partnership, said: “The review finds that health services, social care, and the police responded swiftly when Baby Eva presented at the hospital with unexplained injuries. There were robust safeguarding processes in place and partners worked effectively together to protect her. She is thankfully now safe and well.

“The review also explores whether there were opportunities to take action to safeguard Baby Eva, earlier. It highlights a need for systems that allow better information sharing between agencies, including during the pre-natal stage. We accept the findings of this review and as a partnership, we will be sharing the learning and putting the recommendations into action."
