Independent Review of the Church’s Handling of Smyth Case Published
An independent review into the Church of England’s handling of the Smyth case has been published, providing a detailed examination of the Church’s response to allegations against John Smyth QC. The review, authored by Keith Makin, highlights significant failings and proposes recommendations to improve safeguarding practices.
Keith Makin, who also serves as the independent Scrutineer for the Croydon Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP), brings a wealth of expertise in safeguarding and accountability to this critical work.
